Program Description:


This is a half-season (Winter 2020) Teen/Adult CanSkate Program - 10 weeks


CanSkate is Canada's flagship learn-to-skate program for beginners of any age that teaches fundamental movements and basic skills. Skaters are taught in a group lesson format by a NCCP certified professional coach. CanSkate is designed for future figure, hockey, ringette, speed or recreational skaters. Participants earn badges as skills are mastered.

Skaters must be twelve (12) years of age by September 1, 2019.

Skaters will take part in a ten (10) minute off ice warm up (6:30-6:40 pm) and will then proceed to the ice for three (3) ten minute lessons (6:40-7:10 pm) with 3 different coaches. After the three lessons, the skaters will leave the ice (7:10 pm).

CSA approved hockey helmets are mandatory for all CanSkaters.

Skaters in this program will skate once per week (40 minutes) for 10 weeks. The program starts January 2, 2020 and ends March 26, 2020.

No Skating Days: Jan 9, 2020; Jan 30, 2020; Feb 27, 2020
